Saturday Snow

We woke up this morning to a good 4 inches of snow on the ground. We had an unexpectedly open morning, so we took advantage of it. Claire and I relaxed inside and putzed around while Isaac and Vance went and did man's work outside.
She had a good time getting to have the trains all to herself.

Just look at those curls. I could just gobble her up. In the back the curls are even tighter. I'm lovin it while it lasts.

Isaac, meanwhile, was working hard (a favorite phrase of his) shoveling snow.

Michael was a big help, too.

Elijah was makin time.

They were on a mission.

Diego, on the other hand, was more interested in sledding.

I had a very interesting conversation with Isaac on the way back from Target this evening.

Isaac (listening to the music): Mama, do you hear that violin?

Me: Yes, it's very pretty, isn't it?

Isaac: Mama, doyou play piano?

Me: Yes, honey. What does Daddy play?

Isaac: Daddy plays guitar!

Me: What instrument are you going to play?
Isaac (slight pause): I play electric guitar!! I play electric guitar some day! (another pause) What does Claire play?

Me: I don't know, honey. What do you think she'll play?
Isaac: Claire plays violin!

I hope it's prophetic...although later he told me she plays bass guitar. That would be good too. Either way is fine (or both!).
